Inglenook Cottage is an idyllic cosy and welcoming traditional 18th Century picturesque Lakeland Cottage nestling in the superb and peaceful setting of Lindale-in-Cartmel within the Lake District National Park. Few cottages are more pretty, charming and quaint.

The cottage has recently undergone an extensive and careful refurbishment using authentic tasteful and pleasing décor and furnishings. The immaculately presented self-catering accommodation briefly comprises of an exquisite double bedroom with an antique brass bed and original fireplace and two beautiful single bedrooms all with lovely co-ordinating bedding and blinds (sleeping four people in three bedrooms), attractive bathroom, comfortable beamed lounge with beautiful soft furnishings and curtains and a large Inglenook fireplace, a gorgeous well equipped bespoke cottage style kitchen with Belfast sink and a dining area with an Inglenook fireplace housing a working solid fuel burner with hop bines hanging from the exposed beams above.

It is difficult to describe this delightful cottage as convincingly as it deserves. The cottage has a wealth of Lakeland charm and character features such as the Inglenook fireplaces, cast iron solid fuel burner, exposed beams, Grand father clock, deep window sills, wooden floors and even penny hinges on the original ledge and brace timber doors. Outside the cottage has been described by a previous guest as 'a chocolate box cottage', with its attractive flower borders, colourful window boxes and hanging baskets. The 'stable' front door is framed by a lattice work arch with climbing roses and there is even a sitting-out spot with bench for relaxing and simply taking in the tranquil village.

The peaceful and friendly village of Lindale-in-Cartmel has a Post Office, village shop, a great park and two fantastic notable pubs all within short walking distance of the cottage. Whether you wish to walk the fells or escape the madding crowds for a romantic retreat you couldn't wish to find a more pleasant and charming base.

The village itself is situated on a hill with spectacular views towards the bay, Levens Valley and the How Gills beyond. The convenient South Lakeland location lends itself to easy access to Windermere, Cartmel, Coniston, Kendal and only a few minutes drive away is a wide selection of amenities in the famous Edwardian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands known as the Riviera of Cumbria with its tropical gardens and ornamental lake. This quiet and restful holiday location is the perfect base to explore and tour the Lakes.
